As a Sr Automation Implementation Engineer, your role is to specialize in design, and implementation of automation solutions that are safe and economical for material handling systems in processes across our network. You have in-depth expertise in the field of MHE automation and are dedicated to optimizing productivity, efficiency, and accuracy in material handling operations. You will communicate the vision, detailed roadmap, and technical solutions to make a compelling business case with senior executives. You will work remote and report to the Sr Manager, Automation Controls Engineering.

Your Impact
• Develop automation prototype design solutions tailored to the needs of each project.
• Work with equipment vendors, suppliers, and team members to procure and integrate the necessary MHE equipment into the automation system.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and site leaders to understand their specific requirements and goals for the material handling automation project.
• Conduct a detailed analysis of existing processes and workflows to identify areas for automation and improvement.
• Analyze material handling processes and workflows to identify opportunities for optimization.
• Apply optimization techniques, such as algorithms, routing, and scheduling methodologies, to minimize bottlenecks, reduce errors, and enhance operational effectiveness.
• Ensure testing and debugging of the material handling automation system to ensure functionality, performance, and safety.
What You Bring
• 5+ years implementing automation projects or related field.
• 3+ years experience with design, and implementation of automation/robotic systems within an fulfillment or distribution environment
• A BS Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent combination of education and work experience in field.
• Work Measurement training preferred (MTM, MOST, etc)
• Lean or Six Sigma training
