U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Lead Software Engineer (Core Deposit) (multiple positions) in Tempe, AZ.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Prioritize software reliability engineering standards embedded into development standards.
• Design, develop, test, operate, and maintain software products for the Bank's Core Deposit Functionality for both the retail and commercial banking organizations.
• Take full stack lead by consistently writing production-ready and testable code.
• Create optimal design adhering to architectural best practices.
• Consider scalability, reliability, and performance of software systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs.
• Conduct code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures.
• Ensure all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices.

Basic Qualifications:

Position requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 2 years of experience as a Software Developer, or a related occupation.

Required Skills/Experience:
Must include 1 year of experience with each of the following: 1) Creating project proposals and designs that impact multiple systems 2) Creating technical designs that consider dependencies, failure states, maintainability, testability, and technical support; 3) Agile software development lifecycle 4) DevOps principles; and 5) Assembler, Azure, CICS, COBOL, DB2, IMS JCL, JIRA, Oracle SQL, Python, Spark, and VSAM.
