Role Summary / Purpose:
As a Field Service Technician Roamer, you will be responsible for providing commissioning, maintenance, and repair services for water and wastewater treatment systems across various client sites in the Chicagoland area. This direct hire position requires 85% travel within the region. The role offers flexibility, as it involves rotating 12-hour shifts (days or nights). The position comes with full benefits, a company car, and a company card.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commissioning & Maintenance: Safely commission, operate, monitor, repair, and maintain water treatment systems, including media filtration, reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange (IX), ultrafiltration (UF), and chemical injection systems.
- Troubleshooting: Perform mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation.
- Analytical Testing: Conduct site-specific analytical testing, including turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, and TOC.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed site documentation, providing customers with technical summaries of work performed.
- Customer Interaction: Collaborate with customer management and operation teams to ensure contract compliance and address any issues.
