Description

In this role, you will report to the Operations Specialist Manager and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

 

 

Location: Northern California

Shift: First shift

Hourly Rate: $25./hr.- $30/hr. + (mileage, parking and toll reimbursement)

Candidates must hold a valid driver's license and have reliable personal transportation.

 

Please note that this position is not remote. The ideal candidate should live in the Northern California area, as they will need to travel between multiple locations and may travel outside the state up to 25% of the time. There is also a bonus program for overnight travel assignments.

What we’re looking for

  • A high school diploma or GED is required for this position, but having an Associate's degree or undergraduate degree in a business or science-related field would be a plus.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in inventory control, procurement, shipping and receiving, or inside sales is preferred.
  • Certifications such as IATA, DOT, OSHA Right to Know, IMDG, Forklift, and Hazwoper are also a plus.
  • A valid driver's license and transportation are required.
  • Experience with VWR/Avantor products and services, as well as cross-referencing and inside sales, is preferred.
  • The candidate must be able to travel outside California up to 25% of the time.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably in the travel or airline industry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using computers, including familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first mindset.
  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace free from distractions.
