Job Description
As a Virtual Assistant in our Health Care Services department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our administrative functions. You will support patient care teams by managing schedules, coordinating communications, and handling various administrative tasks—all from the comfort of your home.
Key Responsibilities
- Appointment & Schedule Management: Coordinate patient appointments, follow-ups, and internal meetings using our scheduling systems.
- Communication Support: Serve as a primary point of contact by handling phone calls, emails, and live chats professionally and efficiently.
- Patient Record Maintenance: Update and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and other confidentiality standards.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with data entry, report preparation, and document management to support the overall workflow.
- Insurance & Billing Assistance: Help process insurance claims, answer billing inquiries, and liaise with insurance providers as needed.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare professionals and administrative staff to ensure timely and accurate information flow.
Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience as a Virtual Assistant or in an administrative role is preferred; experience in the healthcare sector is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office, Google Workspace, and other relevant office software; familiarity with scheduling and CRM tools.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organization: Exceptional time management and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Compliance: Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications or coursework in healthcare administration is beneficial.
